Every person has a unique story to share. Memoirs are true accounts of real lives told with style, a way to learn from another person’s perspective while feeling entertained. My favorite memoirs are insightful, uplifting, and funny.
Marcia Cebulska’s upcoming memoir Lovers, Dreamers, & Thieves is a coming-of-age tale set in a Polish neighborhood in Chicago. It’s the story of the community who made her into the writer that she is today, and it’s quite the quirky cast.
You can meet the author and ask her about the scenes that she left out at the library on May 2 at 7pm in person or via Zoom. Register for a zoom link and email updates, or just drop in to attend in Marvin Auditorium. A Q&A and book sales and signing will follow the presentation. Email Miranda at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
Cebulska is a reader of memoir as well as a writer. Check out her recommendations for memorable true tales.
