Published back in 1966 - Jacqueline Susann's sensational trash-novel "Valley of the Dolls" is one of the biggest-selling works of fiction in history with sales actually exceeding 31 million copies. This is a racy, little story about life in the fast lane and barbiturate addiction that is mixed generously with lots of promiscuous sex. This story closely follows the highs and lows of 3 women who are each looking to break into show business. But, of course, there is a price to be paid for their dreams to come true.
