“Blood Will Tell” by April Henry is a gruesome but captivating novel about a teenager who is accused of murder, whereas his brother lingers free as the true perpetrator. The only flaws that took away from the book were the awkward transitions and the flow. Suspense would build up and then quickly sizzle away due to the layout of writing in different perspectives every chapter or so because they usually gave away the surprise or immediately gave you answers. After completing the novel, I also felt as though it was rushed or incomplete because although there were hints and such, I still had questions that weren’t answered which ended up leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Limited flaws aside, “Blood Will Tell” by April Henry was an absolutely fascinating read with a deep-rooted storyline. @WordfulReviews of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library
