Add a CommentThe great rhyming makes this alphabet book one you'll easily memorize (especially if your child enjoys it as much as our toddler does).
This book is one of my childhood’s best book I've ever read. It is amazing and I would definitely recommend it to any age level as the book reminds you of when you were a kid. The words that are written in the book rhyme. The colors used in the book are very appealing to youngsters. This book is very simple and easy for new readers. It also teaches readers the alphabet which is one main thing you learn before writing. Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is illustrated by Lois Ehlert. She is known to be an illustrator of children's books, most having to do with nature. In my opinion, I would read this book whenever and wherever I could as it brings joy and happiness to me. Overall this is a great book and I definitely recommend it! @Bookworm5755 of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
The first thing you notice with this book is the bright colors! I love how it’s so bright and pops every page you flip too! Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is about how the alphabet wants to go to the top of a coconut tree and the adventure. They try to get the whole alphabet to fit on the coconut tree...but oh no! The illustration in this book is incredible because it has a bunch of different colors and when a child reads it, they will love it! The book is very exciting and I know many children that grew up with this book. I would recommend this book to children between the ages of 2-6. 5/5. @aesthetic of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

Love using this silly alphabet book where letters have unique personalities! Having families get a rhythm going on their lap while reading aloud and joining in on the repeated phrases makes for a fun story time experience.

My 2 year old daughter absolutely loves this book. She cried when she saw me putting it in the book drop at the library. We'll be checking it out again soon.
"A told B, and B told C, I'll meet you at the top of the coconut tree." One of my favorite ABC picture books from childhood, I can still recite it by heart! A must-read classic for beginning alphabet learners.
Bright, colorful letters race up the coconut tree and tumble down into a heap. Kids loves the bright colors and saying "Chicka chicka boom boom!"
