I've recently watched this movie with my mom. It's been on our movie list for a very long time and I was a little disappointed in it. From the trailer, I expected it to be funnier. Its still a good movie to watch if you have nothing else to do; however, watching it while you're stuck at home will make you more eager to get out of the house and go on a road trip. The growth of the characters in the movie is very well done. At the start of the movie, you just want to rant at the father for his life choices, but by the end, you see he clearly learns his lesson.

If you've seen the trailer for this movie, you've seen the movie. Utter silliness designed for tweeners and teens.

Crazy cute movie! For everyone who has enjoyed the catharsis of road trips, reciting whole monologues from Sunset Boulevard & the love of a hamster possibly named Little Elvis. (Oh yeah, and the idea of Eleanor Roosevelt.)

She should be in big trouble for what she did. Contained 2 immoral dances with Jessica Alba. This movie is not recommended. Like the guy right before me, there is no sex, violence or suspense.

Young adults or teens may enjoy it, but diffenetly not for me. Wasted 10 min. could take anymore.

Terrible, stupid movie. Not worth your time to watch it.

What the description doesn't say is that this is about how a family copes after tragedy. In this case, by being very dysfunctional. I don't enjoy watching dysfunction when there is no improvement. When the girls go on their journey, we watched a little more and saw no enlightenment. Perhaps it came in the last half. We didn't watch it that far.
