I couldn't put this book down! From the first page I was hooked. All of April Henry's books are great!
"The Body In The Woods” is by far the best mystery book I have ever read! The plot is inciting and it's impossible to put down. 3 teenagers are on a search and rescue team, to find an autistic man lost in the woods when instead, they uncover a dead girl's body. It's up to the 3 of them to discover who the murderer is. The book was unpredictable because the unexpected happened near the end and I didn't see it coming. There’s also some chapters in the book that are from the serial killer's perspective. You read an insight of the serial killer's mind, and who he will strike next. The whole story was great and it ended in a satisfying way. I’m excited to read the next book “Blood Will Tell”. Anyone who reads this will enjoy a mystery that will help quench their boredom. Living in Portland myself, I very much enjoy reading April Henry's writing.
Nick, Alexis and Ruby are part of a search and rescue team sent out to find a missing hiker. Even though the teens don't find the hiker, they find something much more disturbing...the body of a young woman, apparently strangled.
A quick read with characters that you come to care about.
A classic murder mystery, except the investigators are three teens from the Portland Search and Rescue squad (it's a real thing, google "MCSOSAR"). While searching for a missing man the teens find the body of a teen girl and soon realize they have a serial killer on their hands.
The Body in the Woods is a great mystery. Even I was getting confused on the suspect. April Henrys first series promises to be a nail biter. Nick was my fav character, I think Henry is great at character development and past. Book 2 here I come!!!
This book is so thrilling and exciting. It both is mystery and fictional which makes it very easy to understand and love. Its such a GREAT book.
