Add a CommentLisa Jewell is one of my new favorite authors. I loved this novel. It's definitely not "edge of your seat suspenseful" but I liked how the characters were intertwined into a complex story. Just when I thought I had it figured out I was proven wrong. I find her writing captivating and The Third Wife was one of my favorite Jewell novels so far.
I loved this book!
Totally refreshing! Very reminiscent of Liane Moriarty, one of my favourite authors.
If you like Liane Moriarty's Bit Little Lies or The Husband's Secret, try this story of an oft-married man who prides himself on how well his blended family blends, until his third wife dies by an accident that may not have been an accident.
Imagine if Elin Hilderbrand tried to inject a thriller into her stories? You might end up with THE THIRD WIFE. Enjoyable, though not very mysterious, look at family dynamics and the sudden death of a member of the complex but cozy family, Maya, the third wife.
