The story is great (better than the movie) and a refreshing change from the typical superhero stuff (while still paying some homage). I think the main character is very relatable for anyone who's ever been a teenager.

While it is super violent as others have pointed out, I think in some ways that actually makes it more believable and thus a better story. Still, probably not for you if you're squeamish.

AWESOME BOOK

Makes way more sense in graphic novel form (movie is strange).

This is surely an entertaining comic and I read it the entire way through. I thought this was kind of better than the film but either way they are both very graphic and not meant for kids at all. I'm tellin ya it's not your superman or spiderman comic most kids are used to.

A very gory graphic novel, but if you have seen the movie, this would be expected. A quick read, interesting and different from the movie. Highly reccomended.

I agree with sit_walk that this is extremely violent. Not sure if I could recommend it and I'm a comic book reader of more than 30 years.

Ultra-violent.

Violence: There's language and sexual content (more of the former than the latter) but it's the violence that really comes across in this title. It's not quite The Punisher, but Kick-Ass has its moments...
