I was very disappointed with this film. There is absolutely no character development.

Hypnotic dramatized relationship between a young female patient with the catch all hysteria disease and her physician who established a neurology clinic at Salpêtrière, the first of its kind in Europe during the late 1800's. Exhibits of still photos to illustrate various hysteria conditions in bonus feature and can be found here:
