I really felt the strength and passion of the characters in this one..then again, Jody Hedlund knows how to build characters well. It was refreshing to read this considering the last book I read by her was average at best.

Jody has a brilliant way of bringing her characters to life. You'll feel like you're here in early Michigan with the settlers and Indians; the tensions and the friendships.

Book 3 in Brides of Michigan series. Excellent reads not to be missed.
