David Suchet's occasional Biblical quotations are musical and poetic as he has a wonderful voice for narration which I hadn't expected only knowing him from Poirot. It's not a scholarly film, but a personal narrative which I found interesting and enjoyable and worth the time.
an excellent well developed narrative presented thoughtfully and including the background of the ancient travel route experienced by St Paul as it is more informative than entertaining. for the latter, may i suggest the enthralling writings of christian author c. s. lewis in his works about "the chronicles of Narnia". meanwhile, others will enjoy the richness of this thorough development of paul's travels.
The scenery is interesting, but the rest is like biblical history for dummies.
I was so disappointed at this video. Not because it is very slow and almost aimless. I was quite disappointed at Suchet and his ramblings. He assumes a lot about St. Paul without giving any basis for the assumptions. And to my utter amazement he keeps calling early Christianity "the Jesus movement"...
Very good dvd. It is , as in the title, following in the footsteps of St. Paul. David Suchet is wonderful, as expected. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
wonderful view of a person in history. David brings it home by visiting the actual places.
