Ashes to ashes by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian
This book is #3 in the Burn for Burn series. Three very different girls Kat, Lilia and Mary have teamed up to plot revenge on the people who have wronged them. After their plan is in motion it totally backfired and it went through extreme limits when people got hurt. Now they have to live with the aftermath and try not to look guilty. In this book it takes place after it left off in book #2. It’s after New Year’s Eve and Renee is dead. Everyone is sad especially Lilia because if she hadn’t left with Reeve then Renee wouldn’t of drove off and died. Lilia and Reeve are grieving together and trying to figure things out. Kat is also sad because she and Renee have recently become really close. Mary has gone missing and Kat and Lilia are trying to piece it together. No one knows what really happened to Renee except Mary, she has a big part in it.

The beginning of the book is really sad, everyone is facing a tough time with Renee dead. There is also a lot of drama, but it’s hard to tell where the story is going. Mary’s character brings a huge twist to the plot, one that I never ever imagined happening. That really changes the plot and adds a lot of confusion. Reeve and Lilia are an item and Mary is deadly jealous. Mary doesn’t think that Reeve deserves happiness after what he did to her so she becomes crazily obsessed in finding a way to hurt him. Kat and Lilia soon start to work together as clues fall in to place, that is the suspenseful and adventure part of the book.

Personally I did not like the ending. After 2 books I expected more. Especially because this is the third you would think that it would make more sense. The book pretty much just ends in a rush and then in the epilogue/last chapter is so disappointing. There is so much suspense and build up, then the ending for the characters doesn’t even feel realistic. It’s like all that building was for no reason. Another thing I didn’t like was what the authors did to Mary’s character. It explains parts from the other 2 books but it was really strange and random. Mary’s character did a whole different transformation. On the other hand, what I did like about the series is that the chapters alternate between the 3 girls so you can see their point of view which is really neat. Another part I really liked is the romance between Lilia and Reeve. They love each other so much and the chemistry is so intense. When Mary try’s to break them apart you only want them together even more!

I would rate this book 3 stars out of 5. I am sad that the book ended like that, the authors have so much more talent, but all in all it was a good series.

I finished the book in 1day and a half and to be honest it wasn't as good as I hoped it would. The ending, to me, it didn't feel complete. Jenny han and Vivian Siobhan are AMAZING writers! But I think they messed up with this one. It just wasn't the kind of ending I expected. The other Burn for Burn books ROCK! Like totally addicting but this one...I mean it was good through most of it but the made me kind of hate the series. Buuuut that's just my opinion.
