This is an incredibly interesting book that looks at the rise of South Korea not only in regards to popular culture, but also politically and economically after the end of the Korean war. Very readable and often funny. Always insightful. Great book!

I read this book in preparation for a trip to South Korea, and also as a fan of their dramas, and out of curiosity about their culture. It was very interesting and I think some of the topics covered could be explored in-depth in their own books. I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about the miracle of modern South Korea!
