I saw these films totally out of order -- EPlan3, EPlan1, then EPlan2 -- and I'm writing this while finishing EPlan2. As action films go, these have some brains because they not just muscle & punches, they're also a bit of a chess game. EP1 was bigger than reality but relatively believable. EP2 should be considered sci-fi, and for the series IMO went too far (good to see the actor from The Expanse though). EP3 got back to it's roots and is similar to EP1 ... but is more reality than 'bigger than reality'. So far as I can tell, watch EP1 and EP 3 but you can skip EP2 -- it's too far different from EP1 and it didn't seem to have sway on EP3.

This is the worst writing and acting I've seen in the prison break genre, which should really be more about ingenious problem solving with very limited resources. Read "The Count of Monte Cristo" (1844) or watch "Escape From Alcatraz" (1979), "The Shawshank Redemption" (1994) or early seasons of Prison Break.

Watched it when it first came out. Now I watched it again. Worth watching if you are either an Arnold or Stallone fan. A little corny at times but over all it was not that bad of a movie. Kept me from falling asleep.

great story but a brutal movie to watch.

Fun for the "Escape" part, and starts off well. Typical Follywood ending sequence though, complete with omnipotent bad guy (always played as if gay <Why??>; with the constant whispering thing... ??) who's killed 4, 762 times before going. Yes, it's silly, and fairly implausible overall, but passable as a movie. i.e. stays in bounds for what it is.

Ray Breslin is a man who is incredibly skilled at breaking out of prisons. In fact, he does that for a living. This helps the prison become more secure as they fix the problems which only come to light when Ray successfully escapes each prison. A new maximum security prison is the next job. Ray is offered five million dollars to escape the prison, and he accepts. However, Ray has been betrayed and now he must find a way to escape the prison once again. The concept of this movie seemed pretty interesting, and the intellectual aspect of it was great.

Very good action movie

One of the more under rated action movies of the last decade, if you haven't seen this one yet you should.

Meh. Love Ahhhnold AND Rocky 12.....but this is way below their previous works.

Last Stand blew me away....this one was a snooze-fest in comparison.

Breslin: I need to get into the isolation area.
Swan: No, you really don't.
Breslin: Yeah, I really do. Call it a favor. Okay?

Swan: Okay. Good. Ah! (punches Breslin hard)
Breslin: That's a favor?
Swan: Sometimes favors hurt.
Swan: Let's see what you can do. Breslin: All right. (punches Swan hard)

Swan (smiles): You hit like a vegetarian.
