Enter a medieval world unlike any you've seen before. Welcome to an innovative and reader-friendly approach to medieval history, one that combines visually appealing infographics, whimsical cartoons and lively, informative text. Each spread offers a snapshot that highlights an aspect of the diversity and intercultural dynamics of the medieval world, from Europe to the Byzantine, Ottoman and Islamic empires. Readers get the inside scoop on crusaders and caliphs, Mongols and midwives, as they read about expanding trade routes, power shifts, conquests, adventure, and persecutions. From the daily life of the medieval child to Rabban bar Sauma's extraordinary pilgrimage, the result is a colorful and varied picture of what life was like a thousand years ago. For example, did you know: * 5% of babies in English peasants' homes died from pig bites? * what medieval workers did for a living? * you could buy a Turkish horse for 455 cartloads of dung? * the best way to stop the unstoppable knight? Shapiro's meticulous research is brought to life by Ross Kinnaird's historically based, humorous, illustrations. Who would imagine medieval history could be this much fun!

Hey there it's DJPopular and I'm here finished reading a new book named It's a Feudal, Feudal World A Different Medieval History By Stephen Shapiro! Well I think this kind of book are easy to read. I mean there's a lot of pictures with detail and color. It is awesome to know more about medieval times. Even though I already learned it. Starting from 500 BCE to 2000 CE that's where we are! But it is still a very long way. I like how the author kept my attention to reading the book with cool information and pictures. It was the best to see the three faiths. Awesome job Stephen Sharpiro! You can learn fun facts about medieval times like the three faiths, Byzantine business and places of prayer. It's from old times but fun to read! Well that's my opion on the book see you next time on www.silverbirchonline.com!

This book taught me all about medieval times, but in a different way. It showed funny cartoon and text bubles . My favourite fact was that when the Arab ambassadors were visiting the Frankish emperor Charlemage they got an elephant as a gift!

Its a feudal, feudal world is a great book. I learned that 5% of babies died of pig bites! I did not know that! I loved how they had little pictures and small jokes on every page. I wish that the author had a better conclusion. I still really liked the book though!

This book had great pictures but wasn't very interesting. It taught me quite a bit about the medieval ages but it didn't do a very good job keeping my interest.
