Wow. Fusion. What a sound. Just carries you along. One of my favorite Miles Davis albums.
Gotta love it!
Wow Wow Wow ! Awesome! Like 'Autumn Of The Patriarch' in music. A wildly phantasmagorical boogie-addled journey... from low purple to shrieking sparks its a sonic fulcrum of prophecy.
Wow-a signpost if there ever was one. A foundation of any Jazz Fusion music lovers collection and one that continues to stand the test of time albeit highly controversial for lovers of Miles Davis's ballad years.
This is one of the greatest jazz records ever released. I suspect that this is the one that started the jazz fusion craze. I must have listed to this record over 20 times. Soon Correa would form Return to Forever, Joe Zawinul/Wayne Shorter would form Weather Report, John McLaughlin would form The Mahavishnu Orchestra, and Herbie Hancock would form Mwandishi. All great electronic jazz. I saw all these groups multiple times, but the only time I saw Miles was when he had the great Miles Davis Quartet (acoustic).
Sratch on disc 1 prevented track 1 from playing correctly
