"An instant classic...highly recommended!" -- New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Jennifer Probst

USA TODAY bestselling indie author Alice Clayton delights readers with the sexy, laugh-out-loud romance of Caroline and Simon in Wallbanger , the first book in the Cocktail series!

The first night after Caroline moves into her fantastic new San Francisco apartment, she realizes she's gaining an--um--intimate knowledge of her new neighbor's nocturnal adventures. Thanks to paper-thin walls and the guy's athletic prowess, she can hear not just his bed banging against the wall but the ecstatic response of what seems (as loud night after loud night goes by) like an endless parade of women. And since Caroline is currently on a self-imposed "dating hiatus," and her neighbor is clearly lethally attractive to women, she finds her fantasies keep her awake even longer than the noise. So when the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts Simon Parker, her heard-but-never-seen neighbor. The tension between them is as thick as the walls are thin, and the results just as mixed. Suddenly, Caroline is finding she may have discovered a whole new definition of neighborly...

In a delicious mix of silly and steamy, Alice Clayton dishes out a hot and hilarious tale of exasperation at first sight.

This book had me laughing so hard but it was also very sexual too. I thought it was great.

Check out my review of "Wallbanger" on my blog at:

The banter was funny and cute, the heroine was independent and confident, what more could I need? Except...the novel was kind of ruined by cliches and what I like to call special-snowflake-syndrome. Sometimes I got, 'oh! I'm not like other girls!' vibes. Or, 'oh, other people our age just don't get it'. Disgusting. And...really? Hot, rich, photographer, chef boyfriend who is also incredibly sweet and great in bed? AND he takes you to Spain for your first day? Really? Unbelievable! That's so boring! I would just get so frustrated. I don't know. Although, I will argue the sex scenes were sometimes good. It was really 50-50 there.

One of the only books I have not finished. The main character is irritating and epitomizes everything wrong with the modern day "Hook-up" generation, the secondary characters are 2-dimensional and the plot is ridiculous. Then there's a cat that wants to mate with a woman. If this is an example of a popular contemporary romance, I would recommend avoiding the genre.

A light, humorous romance read. I appreciated the softer sides of both the hero and heroine shown in the book.

I grabbed this book because it was on the 2013 Good Reads list. I was misled. I won't lie. I had a bad feeling about it right from the start. But I kept reading, and it was to my detriment. Brain cells were lost. Tears of remorse were cried. There are too many books in the world to read in my lifetime, and I wasted time on this one. I'll not waste more time on this review, but move on to better things!

"He slipped gently into me, and at first my body resisted. It had been a long time, but the pain I felt was welcome. It was that good kind of pain, a pain that let you know something more was coming. I relaxed a bit, allowing my legs to wrap around his waist, and as he pressed further into me, his smile became infinitely sexy. He bit down on his lower lip and tiny frown lines appeared on his forehead. I breathed in, inhaling his scent as I watched him pull back the slightest bit, only to thrust once more. Now fully inside, I welcomed him the only way I could. I gave him the little internal hug, which made his eyes flash open and peer down at me. 'There's my girl,' he murmured, raising one rakish eyebrow and thrusting into me again, with more conviction this time. My breath caught in my throat and I gasped, unwittingly rocking my hips with a motion as old as the waves crashing down below."-excerpt from Wallbanger
