Special Agent Illeana Scott is an FBI profiler who is sent to Montreal to help in a murder investigation. Agent Scott's approach to profiling the serial killer is unconventional. She goes to a crime scene, lies down in the position the victim was found, and uncovers clues the police did not notice. She gets inside the head of the serial killer and comes up with a theory that the killer is assuming the lives and the identities of the people he kills. The serial killer's mother sees her evil son, who was supposed to have been killed by a truck years earlier, on the ferry. She goes to the police, but they do not connect him to the case. Later when the serial killer murders again, they have a witness who is an artist that can draw his face, giving them the clue they needed. The police finally contact his mother and collect more information about him.

I am disappointed with this movie. With such an excellent cast I expected this to be better than it was. I have seen Sutherland, Hawke, Martinez, Rowland and Jolie in some powerful roles, but not in this movie. Unfortunately, the cast’s potential was just not utilized. I also think it was poorly edited causing it to come across as a bit disorganised. If the director was not in on the editing, maybe he should have been. I didn't like the editing.
The segues were almost nonexistent causing the plot or story to be kind of disjointed; unclear. The ending was not a surprise but was unexpected. maybe the best part of the movie.
So, I would recommend that if you want to see a little bit of beautiful scenery, short car races, lots of bloody bodies, Jolie's bare breasts, or hear Martinez’s sexy accent, this show might interest you.

I really enjoyed this thriller! It had a few good twists, and I love the scenery (the film is set in Montreal, but it was actually filmed in Quebec City).
