Campy (miniature scale models) but with a serious undertone of how the WWII nuclear bombings permeated Japanese consciousness. Two fairies plead for the return of Mothra's egg, are roundly ignored, yet wind up taking the high road to help when Godzilla arises from the sea in a rampage. The monster moth and her babies prove to be plucky heroines as Godzilla breathes fire and gleefully stomps local towns, Japanese tanks, electrified towers, and brushes aside the American Navy's missiles. Note: Subtitled in English, the original is in Japanese.

Two individuals who don't understand one another come to blows, but eventually befriend one another. A heartwarming, inspirational classic.
