DVD was dirty and couldn't watch it. Who knows if I would like it or not. Make sure that you get a watchable copy.

Lauduree is a young teen interested in nature/climate changes but also has troubles at home. A bit slow at the beginning but still a good movie.

“Future Weather” ostensibly is about a teenage girl who is interested in climate change, but maybe it is really about the stormy relationships among her family members and a real question about what effect this is going to have on her future. This is one of those great indie films that are so rare now in the days of the super blockbusters. This is the debut for the director, Jenny Deller, who received money from the Sloan Foundation to make this film. The teenage girl is played by Perla Haney-Jardine who played a young daughter in the art film, 2008 Genova, with Oscar winner Colin Firth. Perla got her start in films at the age of 6 in the blockbuster Kill Bill, Vol. 2. Look for the Bressonian shots that Deller occasionally employs to make the film a little more interesting.

This movie was entertaining and interesting but not one of my favorite for this year. Not too bad---good performance.
