I love historical fiction and I'm very particular about what I read. I really enjoyed this book but was disappointed to find the author has only written this one book.

This book was a delightful historical fiction about the life of Benjamin Franklin. He is portrayed as quite a scoundrel with a very active libido which the author touches on very tastefully. The reader sees time and time again how he has very little ethics when it comes to women sharing his bed. Ben Franklin becomes torn somewhat between his former lover and future wife Deborah and former lover Anne and their son William. Sally Cabot holds your interest by almost alternating every other chapter between Deborah and Anne who are pawns Benjamin Franklin manipulates while his influence and affluence increases in Philadelphia. The later part of the book deals more with Franklin’s deteriorating relationship with his son William as the American colonies start their movement towards independence. Senior Doctor-at-Bass! D. A.
