Cheap bad-taste thrills in exploiting heinous true crimes by creating super monsters, i.e. morphing kidnappers with serial killers with likes of Jeffrey Dahmer or Ted Bundy victimizing children like Jaycee Dugard (kidnapped for 18 years since she was 11) or Steven Stayner (kidnapped for 7 years since he was 7) etc. The entire plot and so called twist at the end were absurd, an insult to viewer's intelligence. A curious watch was all.

Hmmm. Well, it didn't suck, and there was a nice twist i did NOT see coming (although looking back it was hinted..) But i agree with kevfarley... too tedious.

Wierd,.. creative,.. well acted,.. but for all that ...somewhat tedious. Reading the DVD cover or seeing the preview tells most of the story beforehand ! And the boy retaining both his morality and sanity is a stretch(?). Not worth such a long wait at the NYPL. "Boxing Helina", by the same writer/director, was also extreme. But it was more ...'interesting'.

D'nofrio creepy good as "Bob". Sick and twisted adult/child relationship with ending-with-a-twist.
