This story was very engaging and easy to relate to as a woman. I highly recommend The author shares with us a story filled with an aura of living and little gems of wisdom. The story and people go with when you long after you have finished the last page with a satisfied sigh!

I can't give a better review than this . This is pop fiction , and it's not bad , but it's just not great - sorry !

A good "summer read". It won't blow your mind but it will keep your interest. Move your chair into the sun, get a cold drink and enjoy.

Shallow tale. Weak backstory. Two-dimensional characters. Predictable, sugary plot.

I've enjoyed each and every Elizabeth Berg book I've ever read and this one is no exception. When Cece's best friend dies of cancer, it makes her re-evaluate her life. Deciding to sell her house, she moves into a home which she shares with three other women who quickly become her friends. Each woman has unresolved issues and there is a satisfying end.

Perhaps it is the timing of reading this book with the events in my life that have made this such a good read for me. It's been awhile since I read any of Elizabeth Berg's books. I saw her in person years ago at a local library in Illinois, as she talked and read to us. As I embark on a new journey alone after many years in a new state, this book spoke to my heart. I loved the women she developed, all strong yet vulnerable, and the friendships that developed. I loved the road trip and the eclectic places they visited. I loved the evolving of relationships, both new and old. Perhaps one needs to be at a certain stage in their life to appreciate this book more fully, as I am in mine. The book spoke to my heart.

Lovely and soothing chick lit for chicks who are in their 40s or older. I had almost given up on Elizabeth Berg, having been disappointed in her last 3 novels. Her best book is True to Form (2002). This latest novel does not reach the same literary heights by any means, but it is a satisfying and pleasant read.
