Another great album from the Canadian duo. Poppy, catchy and great bass tones. I love the way this group has grown and changed over time. Can't wait to see what the music future holds for Tegan and Sara.
Liked it quite a bit! It was a lot more light-hearted and pop-y than some of their older CDs, but it was kind of a nice change of pace.
i seen the music video of Tegan and sara on t.v i seen the music video of them singing closer and i was a fool it looks like a sad song i was a fool i can't wait to barrow ther other cds of them from your collection .
Love them soo much! It may be different but it's still such a great Tegan and Sara record! Definitely check it out if you haven't already.
I've only listened to the radio play for their songs--I'd say that I was a fool is my favourite.
A definite departure from their former sound, but still definitely enjoyable. I do like the title track the best, it is catchiest. The rest of the album is pretty pop-y too, but it is a bit slower, which I'm not as fond of. I am interested to see if they do any remixes of some of these slower songs.
Tegan & Sara have been around for awhile now. They've had six indie pop-rock albums and now realized that autotuning makes an album a hit. I admit to loving their hit single "Closer", but the rest of the songs I found noisy and overproduced. I liked the minimalism of the old Tegan & Sara songs. In fact, one of my favourite songs is an acoustic cover of Springsteen's "Dancing in the Dark" that they did awhile back. I'm glad they've got some recognition at last, but I'll be disappointed if they never go back to their roots.
