Really good read! I am an African American woman who transitioned from relaxed to natural hair for 11 mos. and big chopped after the 11 mos. mark. This book was very informative and helpful. I particularly benefited from the organic product recommendations. I would definitely recommend this book. Another great book, particularly for transitioners, is The Science of Black Hair by Audrey Davis-Sivasothy.
