Holy crap -- never mind the mysteries -- why are they torturing us by torturing poor lovelorn William?!? C'mon Julia... listen to your little pain in the @$$ sister Ruby and drop that drip Darby!!! And that selfless gesture in the final episode with the incarcerated woman from his past in the lockup? Whattya doin', Murdoch? Droppin' mescaline? In Brackenreid's words, "Bloody 'ell, man!!" FIVE STARS.

Season Four cranks up the tension in the relationship between Murdoch and Dr. Ogden with plot curves that have me waiting for the next series. Interesting sub-plots with Constable Crabtree and Inspector Brackenreid. Murdoch's high moral principles are called into question and there are cracks in his unwavering devotion to duty. Character change is afoot!

Love this series. Great stories, endearing characters, visually beautiful. The scientific Murdoch has extra-sensory abilities. Very fun.

Very well done and well acted with a good turn of the 19th century atmosphere. The premise of the show is that Detective Murdoch and Dr Ogden find ways to apply modern forensics and technology using the nascent technology of the time. It's basically steampunk CSI.

I enjoy this series. Interesting play on what future forensics could be. Great to see a women play a doctor for that time period.
