As a travel escort for seniors, Emily Andrew-Miceli has led her feisty Iowa clan all over the world. This time, they're off to see historic and picturesque Holland - if they can unplug from their smartphones, that is. Joining them is a Bangor, Maine, high-school class whose reunion goes south as old rivalries heat up. Worse, Emily's hopes for a 100% survival rate on this trip are dashed when a member of the tour suffers a tragic (and suspicious) accident.

I stopped reading this book after the second chapter. The author casts the elderly characters as shallow, self-absorbed, and clicky as school children. The characters in the book have traveled half-way across the world on a sight seeing trip and she has them immersed in their electronic gagets not appreciating the sights of Holland. Also, the author was determined to use the new political catch phrases from the last presidential elections even though the story line isn't political in nature or even set in the U.S. A mystery series with seniors traveling abroad is a great concept, so I hope another author picks up the idea and develops better plot and story lines.
