In the 1950s life was simpler. People believed in dreams, and family was everything. On a tree-lined street, an extraordinary set of events unfolds. A happy home is shattered by a child's senseless death. A loving marriage starts to unravel. And a stranger who doesn't plan to stay arrives in town. She and a young man will meet and their love, so full of innocence and hope, will restore a family's dreams. All of their lives will be changed forever by the precious gift she leaves them

I have read this book several times. I enjoy it every time I read it. It is about a young girl who gives a family the best gift possible. It is a heartwarming family story. Everyone would love to read this book. I have put it on hold again.
