This fourth installment in the Cutting Edge movie series is by far better than the previous one (the story of Alex and Zack Conroy); the love story between Alex and pro bad boy speed skater James McKinsey was more sizzling and cute to watch. Their chemistry was more profound compared to her chemistry with Zack. I've seen all four movies in the series and ranking high in the first place is, of course, the original movie with Moira Kelly and DB Sweeney; I'd say "Fire & Ice" takes the second spot while "Going for the Gold" is third and lastly "Chasing the Dream" is fourth place. Each movie in the series has a predictable storyline, but the twists and trials each characters had to face was different, but you know in the end the pair would take on to the ice and perform an awesome routine that would wow the audience, the viewers and the pair would seal it with a heart-melting kiss...

I came across this movie by accident, I had been inadvertantly following the series, and honestly this was better than the last one.

It is nice to see a traditional tv actor that played at alien now try to put it all on the line on the ice.

The female lead could have been a better choice though
