Decent story with a semi-fresh approach, a collection of fairly big-name actors more easily afforded by shooting in a less-expensive-to-film-in-country passed off as giving a different look .... the thing that really blows it though is Dakota Fanning .... everyone else at least adequately fits in, but she frequently -- glaringly -- comes off as a method actor, which distracts from the film and blows the suspension of disbelief. There are better films to watch, but this fills the gap okay. It could be worse.

A wild ride began when a young woman imprisoned in a sinister laboratory escaped with a syringe of power enhancement drug from USA to Hong Kong. The woman had a special ability to put ideas as reality in other's mind. She was determined to bring down the lab with helps from a motley group of other special people, each possessed extraordinary psychic power as psychokinesis, remote viewing, imaging future events and ultra senses etc. Most of the movie was filmed in crowded Hong Kong city as a "special" Chinese gang was also in pursuit of the new wonder drug ...

This movie...omg this movie. Is one of my favorites, the scenes, actions, characters and details (and special effects) are a work of art and I commend you guys on how wel they did. This movie is the kind that I sit up watching 20- 30 times on a dark quiet night. I watch this movie over and over with an extra large bag of very over buttered and drizled in garlic salt popcorn. I found it beautifully created and I am proud to say I own the DVD and can't get enough of it.

The story line was fairly good. The action to build up to it however needed a lot more work. It's material was like I am Number Four. At the very end-I give it a 2/5 stars.

BAM! SPLAT! THUD! HUH??? This is an almost completely incoherent rip-off of the X Men franchise.with some very attractive players getting banged up for WHAT we never quite figure out. The director ramps up a whole lot of style and atmosphere but unfortunately has no storytelling ability. it's a pity that the first ten minutes leave you so hooked, as the subsequent 100 do nothing to explain them. Fantastic setting, good actors (with the exception of the zombie-like Camilla Bell, who HAS to be screwing someone important) lotsa action, entirely opaque. A perfect example of brainless Hollywood-style moviemaking. FEH.

Decent sci-fi movie. I didn't really expect much, but was entertained enough. Had a cool look about it. Cyberpunk elements. The acting was not a key element here. Style over substance. The story was interesting enough to keep me watching. There is enough action and enough of a plot to justify watching this as a sci-fi fan.

If you like to suspend your disbelief and become absorbed in science fiction, this one's for you! This movie wasn't about action so much as a though-provoking evolution scenario of humankind. If you're a sci-fi fan, you will love it. If you're looking for a brainless crash 'n' bash, shoot 'em up chase, get something like Transporter or The Expendables. This movie has action and lots of chase, but that's not the movie's focus. It seemed to be more about the possibilities of human ability and potential evolution (similar to the X-men, only not as big and flashy). The characters were unique, interesting and entertaining, and the progresison of the story was creative. The only thing I found a little lacking was that they didn't explore the main character's abilities as much as I would have liked. I'm not crazy about good movies being destroyed by a sequel, but I think this one could really pull it off, and hope eventually there will be a Push 2.
