This book is billed as an interest insight into the world of college football recruitment. It does provide some insight, but more into the recruitment of Ed Orgeron when he was the head coach at Ole Miss. The writer bounces back and forth from the coaches perspective to an overview of individual players. The problem is that he seems to only write from the perspective of the coaches. The book would have been far better had he interviewed the recruits to provide more perspective. Even better, he could have interviewed some coaches at another school. The book can more accurately be described as an in-depth look at the recruiting process of Ed Orgeron at a specific time in his career. If the book were described in that sense, it would fit the description perfectly. It was enjoyable to read, just not as advertised.
