When this movie came out I wasn't old enough to see it but since then I've seen it countless times. Really funny and great cast.

VERY GOOD film originally released in 1982. Yes, it's a teen film that's a bit thin and whack, but quickly paced with clever moments and it kept me watching - glad I did.

The people who write these five star reviews for films of which they are cult fans do a great disservice to the rest of us. Unfortunately that is the profile of those who are usually writing reviews at all. Here's mine: Its funny, no doubt and cute but its simple minded and not laugh out loud. Definitely not the 'funniest movie ever.' Damn Idiots!

I hated this film when I actually was in high school, but after a rewatch post-graduation, I could see this film in a new light. It is written pretty fairly and the lack of plot only adds to the reality that is the plotlessness of life. This film is a classic for a reason, and needless to say, it's packed with stars before they were stars. Almost all of these characters are real -- not in the sense that they're based on actual people (although Cameron Crowe states that they are), but that they exist in the lives of teenagers in any given high school. They're archetypes, but they're crafted to be realistic in their own scenarios in the film. And I can name people in my life who are each and every character in this film. It's crazy how easy it was to slot real people into place as these characters. Regardless, this film should be watched twice in a lifetime: once when young, and once when older. Your opinion may be positive from the start, and if not, with time, it may brighten and allow this film to get the appreciation it deserves.

The first time i saw this classic movie was on 42nd street ( Times Square) many years ago. The character on the cover wasn't the only one getting high. You could smell marijuana throughout the whole theater. Those were the days. After all this time, this movie still brings back memories. Which is why i played it on my HOMETHEATER. Although this movie is not know for sound effects, it does have music that still sounds great to this day. I still enjoy the story and the unforgettable characters that makes this film a classic. I will give this movie 5 stars!!! Great memories, funny characters, attractive female stars, good story, and music i can still sing along with. Two Roti's filled with lamb, white potatoes, curry, white rice, and a large glass of cold water.

Mike Damone: "All right, now pay attention. First of all, Rat, you never let on how much you like a girl. 'Oh, Debbie. Hi.' Two, you always call the shots. 'Kiss me. You won't regret it.' Now three, act like wherever you are, that's the place to be. 'Isn't this great?' Four, when ordering food, you find out what she wants, then order for the both of ya. It's a classy move. 'Now, the lady will have the linguini and white clam sauce, and a Coke with no ice.' And five, now this is the most important, Rat. When it comes down to making out, whenever possible, put on side one of Led Zeppelin IV."
