Swackhammer, an evil alien, is forced to find a new attraction for his theme park. His alien gang, The Nerdlucks, head to Earth to capture Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes. When Bugs finds out the aliens’ plan, he challenges the aliens to a basketball game. The aliens venture to steal the powers of many famous NBA players including Larry Bird and Charles Barkley but Bugs has other ideas. He kidnaps and enlists the help of NBA superstar Michael Jordan.

This movie stars many famous athletes and well known cartoon characters. NBA players Larry Bird, Larry Johnson, Shawn Bradley, Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, Muggsy Bogues, and Michael Jordan all appear throughout the movie. Many of the world famous Looney Tunes characters appear such as Bugs and Lola Bunny, Porky Pig, Tweety Bird, Tasmanian Devil, Daffy Duck, and Yosemite Sam.

The worlds of live action and animation are combined perfectly in this iconic film. Its like 3 movies in one – we get the adventures of Michael Jordan’s career, showbiz warfare, and a hilarious Looney Tunes cartoon. The mix of live action and animation is fun for all ages. Not only is it fun, it teaches young children the importance of kindness and working together. It is all about two unlikely forces combining strengths to defeat a common enemy together. Michael Jordan provides a positive role model for children throughout the movie. He works hard and follows his dreams. All the components of this movie work together perfectly to create a masterpiece. I absolutely love this movie.

I have a friend who is slightly older than men, and he insists that "The Goonies" is a horrible movie. I always tell him that he wasn't the right age for that movie when it came out. For people my age and younger, it's a classic where we get all melty when we talk about it. I recently understood his point of view after I watched "Space Jam" for the first time while in self-isolation.

I always see buzzy online articles that go all out on the nostalgia for "Space Jam." When I saw it on a popular streaming service, I thought, "Well, I've got time and have always enjoyed Looney Tunes." This movie was painful to sit through for me. I was certain that I had watched the wrong movie because it certainly didn't match all the hype that surrounds it all these years later. I wondered how this movie is so beloved by so many people. Then, I noticed the year the movie came out and realized that I missed the target audience by about three or four years. This movie was not made for me.

Now "The Goonies" - that's a good movie.

Funny, but as an adult, I think this would be overly long for kids. Only 1 disc.

It's the NBA meets the WB! This 90s pop culture relic does not look all that good in 2019. Michael Jordan (probably in his best role) plays Michael Jordan, and he and the Looney Tooners play an epic game of basketball against aliens. It's as wacky as it sounds. Some other NBA ballers have small parts, as does Bill Murray, who is refreshing. It's hard to listen to R. Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly" given what we know now.

Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny taking down some bad aliens in basketball!

This is an amazing movie! It is based around Swackhammer an evil alien theme park owner, needs a new attraction at Moron Mountain. When his gang, the Nerdlucks, heads to Earth to kidnap Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes, Bugs challenges them to a basketball game to determine their fate. The aliens agree, but they steal the powers of NBA basketball players, including Larry Bird and Charles Barkley -- so Bugs gets some help from superstar Michael Jordan. I loved the whole plot and theme and storyline of the movie. When I saw the cover of the movie I thought it would be outdated, boring movie but to my surprise it was actually entertaining. I would recommend the movie to kids who like to watch or play basketball or those who like Looney tunes. Overall, this is a fantastic movie and a great classic! 5/5

This fantasy/science-fiction 90’s film is about an evil alien that owns an amusement park and is trying to kidnap characters from the Looney Toons. Bugs Bunny decides to challenge this motive by challenging the alien to a game of basketball; the winner takes all. After the alien begins to cheat by harnessing the powers of famous basketball legends, Bugs entails help from the one and only Michael Jordan. This movie was definitely silly in many ways and somewhat mocked the way basketball players are perceived, and the image of certain cartoon characters. The movie is generally entertaining and has its funny moments, so I would rate this film 3.5/5 stars.

This is probably one of the most popular movies that I have watched in my life. Space Jam features some very iconic stars – Michael Jordan, a real life six-time NBA champion known for his incredible basketball career, and characters from Looney Tune, who are not-so-real characters from a fictional universe which, nevertheless, most people are somewhat familiar with. Anyhow, Bugs Bunny finds himself in a predicament where he has to somehow get the other Looney Tune characters to participate in some sort of attraction for an amusement park. The Looney Tune characters realize that basketball is a good choice to challenge their opponents in as they are very small. But little do they know that the little guys may not be so little during their actual game. Perhaps Michael Jordan could lend them a hand.

Violence: Cartoonish Looney Tunes violence is abundant, if you really want to call that violence.

Michael Jordan: Whatever you do, don't forget my North Carolina shorts.

Daffy Duck: Your shorts? From college?

Michael Jordan: I wore them under my Chicago Bulls uniform every game.

Looney Tunes: Eeewwww!

Michael Jordan: Hey! I washed them after every game!

Sylvester: Sure...

Michael Jordan: I did!
