As vampire flicks go, I can only think of one, Kathryn Bigelow's "Near Dark", that I disliked more. Despite a fair bit of nudity, "Thirst" is totally un-erotic, it is rather poorly edited (could easily be cut by 40 min.) and it has a Jerry…

The first 10 minutes are confusing but the rest of the movie completely makes up for it. The actress's performance is one of the best I've ever seen. I can't recommend this enough.

I wasn't particularly taken with this one, so I will leave it without any score, but would recommend another Korean/Vampire series, Freeze. [does not show up in Korean movies lists when searched, so easily overlooked].

Better than the Twilight series for sure, but it gets a bit repetitious in the last half hour or so.

Mr. Park is quite an accomplished visual artist with way too much leeway. Oldboy is the apex of his accomplishments so far, as it marries passion, comic-book content and a superb confidence in editing and shooting. But in Thirst he tries…

I hated the whole "twilight" bull series... this to me is a real vampire love story.... (and real as in story... not real as in vampires existing. :P)

This should be called "Vampire Sex Priest." A bloody, but strangely bloodless film from the director of "Old Boy."

Excellent directing skill. If you enjoy this movie, better also check out his other production "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance"

Beautiful movie. A bit of gore, but unlike hollywood movies, it doesn't rely on those scenes. It is poetic, with beautiful cinematography, and disturbing plot. A treat for both the eyes and mind. I think some religious christian or…

An intelligent and fun vampire story. Not my favorite Park Chan-wook film but still worth watching.

I was pretty disappointed by this movie. I loved Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance and Old Boy, but Thirst carries on in the same vein as Park Chan-wook's "Lady Vengeance", marrying bold direction and beautiful photography with exaggerated acting…

I've found that Korean horror can be some of the scariest films around. This film provide horror and a lot more.

Good - Thirst (2009) [Foreign - Korean] 133 min. Interesting vampire film out of Korea with kindly devout priest inflicted with the vampire virus from a blood transfusion. The interest in this film is the depiction of how the priest must…
